Week 2 · Lesson 2
The Work
Eight questions. What you write is read by your facilitator and nobody else. Not your officer, not your school, not your family, and not in any report. Two of these you do not write down at all.
Week 2 of 23 · Unforgiveness and Grace
How many times have you run it back? Guess the number, work out the hours, and write what you could have built with that time.
Your body reacts to remembering it the same way it reacted the day it happened. What does that mean?
- A You have a good memory.
- B Every time you run it back you put yourself through it again, and this time you are the one doing it.
- C It means you will never heal.
- D Nothing, everybody is like that.
Who is getting the guarded version of you instead of you? Write what they are missing.
Write about a time you responded to somebody based on what a different person did to you before. What did they see, and what were you actually reacting to?
Nobody reads this one. Who is watching how you handle being wronged, and what are they learning from you right now?
They took eight, you have been handing them everything since. Write your version. What did they take, and what have you given up on your own since then?
Ephesians 4 lists bitterness, then rage, then anger, then brawling. Why does the order matter?
- A It does not, it is just a list.
- B It is a sequence. Bitterness is the quiet one at the front and everything loud comes out of it.
- C It means brawling is the worst one.
- D It is ranked from least to most forgivable.
Nobody reads this one. A debt that does not get absorbed gets handed to the next person. Who handed it to you, and are you willing to be the one it stops with?
Nothing you write here goes to your officer, your school or your family.
