Week 12 · Lesson 1
The Work
Eight questions. What you write is read by your facilitator and nobody else. Not your officer, not your school, not your family, and not in any report. Three of these you do not write down at all.
Week 12 of 23 · Substance Awareness
Nobody reads this one. Everything you put in your body in the last seven days. All of it, including what does not feel like it counts.
Why does drinking usually not make the list when somebody says what they use?
- A Because it is not actually a drug.
- B Because it is legal, it is at every function, and family does it in front of you, so it does not register as anything.
- C Because nobody drinks that much.
- D Because it does not do anything.
The last five times. For each one write what was actually happening right before. Not the reason you gave anybody.
How does it put people away?
- A Getting caught with it.
- B It turns judgment down, so things that look crazy at two in the afternoon look reasonable at one in the morning.
- C It makes people violent.
- D It does not, that is exaggerated.
It borrows from tomorrow. Write what yours has charged you in the last month. The morning, the thing you did not do, the person who caught the mood.
Nobody reads this one. What is it keeping quiet?
The town chained the man and it never worked. Why did force fail?
- A The chains were not strong enough.
- B Force works on behavior, and the problem was not behavior.
- C Nobody was trying hard enough.
- D He wanted to be out there.
Nobody reads this one. The town was more comfortable with him in chains than healed. Who around you would rather have the version of you they already know?
Nothing you write here goes to your officer, your school or your family.
