Legacy: Young Fathers
24 lessons for young men raising children while they are still working out who they are.
Most fatherhood programs are written for fathers generally. Legacy was written for a narrower man: young, frequently court connected, often with a probation officer, a supervised hour, a mother who may not answer, and a child who is waiting either way.
Every example in it is that man's actual week. Nothing has been adapted downward to reach him.

What it covers
Twelve modules, in a fixed order, and the order is the argument.
Nobody starts at Module 3. Modules 1 and 2 are prerequisite to everything after them, because they are the only place the course deals with the man himself.

Dosage
Three configurations. The same twenty four hours in all of them.

20 of 24 lessons, which is 80 percent. That is deliberately the same figure a funded contract uses, so nobody in a monitoring visit has to reconcile two definitions.
Online and self paced, and it has to be done before the cohort advances two further lessons. Written down because it exists in practice and had never been in a document.
Four things
What organizations tell us matters.
Built for one population
Not adapted for all of them. The material knows what a handover is, what an arrears figure does to a man, and what a supervised hour feels like from a child's height.
It produces your data by running
Every answer, from every man, captured at item level. No facilitator enters anything. Completion, attendance and outcomes export for a monitoring visit.
It survives a facility
Print track, no wifi, no phones, no metal in the binding, and a six week configuration for unpredictable release dates.
Fidelity you can verify without observing a session
Lesson 24 is built exactly like lesson 1, under a written specification. Header, thesis, video, four teaching blocks, eight questions in a fixed distribution, three reflections, a closing and one weekly action.
On evidence
Evidence informed, and we will not say more than that.
It is built on five established frames in the fatherhood and child development literature, and the material states where each one operates. It has not yet been evaluated against a comparison group. That study is designed, and the protocol is published before there are results.
