Live online cohort
Wednesdays and Fridays, 4 to 5pm Eastern.
An hour on Zoom with a mentor and other young people, for young people referred to the Youth Intervention Program or JCVI. Young men 15 to 25 referred to JCVI have their own cohort, every other Friday, 3 to 4pm Eastern. Join any week and come in wherever the group is. Free.
How it works
- Open enrollment for referred young people. Join any week. You come in wherever the group is, not at lesson one.
- Each hour we talk through a lesson together, then it opens up: mentoring, open discussion, questions about life, perspective, and a short talk.
- The lessons themselves you work through on your own, at your own pace, from your program page, starting wherever you choose.
- Free. Any phone or laptop with a camera. One Zoom link, emailed when you book.
The two rules
- Be on time. There is a 5-minute grace window. Join after it and the session counts as absent.
- Keep your camera on the whole hour. If we cannot see you, it counts as not being there.
That is all of them. A session counted as absent is a session your officer or your parent can see, so log in a few minutes early.

Who can join
Young people referred to the Youth Intervention Program or JCVI by a probation officer, a court, a facility, a school or a partner organization. Each person sees only the cohort that is his. It is not open to the public, and the Zoom link is only ever sent to somebody who has booked.
Questions: [email protected] or (305) 608-0517, and a person will answer.
